Memorial evening of Alexander Bertman took place in "Helikon-Opera"

On the 15th September 2006 in the Big Hall of "Helikon-Opera" a memorial evening of Alexander Bertman took place.

For many years Alexander Semyonovich was a director of the Central House of medical workers. Together with his son Dmitry Bertman he founded "Helikon-Opera". Bright and talented person, Alexander Semyonovich was a part of "Helikon", he loved the theatre and always helped it.

Son of Alexander Semyonovich, Artistic Director of "Helikon-Opera" and People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Bertman opened the evening. He gave the meeting the atmosphere of hearfulness and warmness.

In the beginning of the evening the choir performed spiritual music by N. N. Kedrov, M. A. Balakirev, S. V. Rakhmaninov. People's Artist of Russia Natalia Zagorinskaya, Honoured Artists of Russia Marina Andreyeva, Elena Ionova, Elena Kachura, Larisa Kostiuk, Tatiana Kuindji, Ekaterina Oblezova, Vadim Zaplechny, Igor Tarasov, who knew Alexander Semyonovich very well and were close friends with him, took their parts afterwards. Then the choir performed "Da ispravitsya" by P. G. Chesnokov, and fragments of "Vsenoschnoye bdenie" by S. V. Rakhmaninov. Despite the difference of the genres of the performed works, all of them were impregnated with love and cordiality to the person, whose invisible presence in the hall, was felt by everybody.

Friends, relatives, colleagues, everybody, who worked with Alexander Bertman, came to show their respect and commemorate him.

This day the presentation of the compact disc with A. S. Bertman songs, and bouklet with his verses, that were published for the first time, took place.

Finally Andrey Palamarchuk performed the song by Dmitry Bertman "On Levoberezhnaya platform".
