On the 17th and 18th May , the world premiere "The Marriage of Figarenko", the last opera by Mikael Tariverdiev took place in the “Helikon-opera”

World premiere of the opera “Marriage of Figarenko” by M. Tariverdiev in the “Helikon-opera” finally took place.

The students of Dmitry Bertman’s workshop have performed the opera, never sounded during the life of the composer. Moreover, this historical event will be remembered because of the fact that the President of M. Tariverdiev Foundation Vera Tariverdieva gifted to the theatre the author's clavier.

Before the show the press conference with Dmitry Bertman (CEO and art-director), Vera Tariverdieva (President of M. Tariverdiev Foundation), Galina Timakova (director) and Valery Kiryanov (musical director) was held.

“Opera turned out about love, because all the operas about love, but when we started to work, it seemed to us that it was about some kind of production relationship” – said the director Galina Timakova.

Dmitry Bertman added that for him Mikael Tariverdiev was always primarily a composer of the opera, and then already the author of the famous movie hits.

Congrats to the all participants of the production: our tremendous orchestra, its conductor – Valery Kiryanov, stage crew leaded by Galina Timakova ant all the others, who was involved to the appearance this unique show in the “Helikon-opera”! The opera “Marriage of Figarenko” found its home and for a good reason – the opera was written in the same year the theatre was born. We wish to the show the long, bright and saturated life.
