Exchange tour between Estonian National Opera and Moscow City Music Theatre “Helikon-Opera” under Dmitry Bertman
Muscovites and the guests of the capital are on the eve of the bespreading cultural event in the new history of Estonia and Russia. For the first time since the collapse of the USSR one of the biggest European theatres – Estonian National Opera – arrives to Moscow.
The ENO and Helikon-Opera are linked together by the long term friendship and fruitful cooperation. A number of the projects of these two companies are the proof for the fact that there are no borders for the art, and the culture is the only thing that brings people together, despite the difference in the traditions, nationalities, political systems. This exchange tour is the one which helps to strengthen the links between Russia and Estonia.
In the frames of the exchange tour our guests will present their best productions, they are “Faust” by Gounod, the opera production, and “KRATT” (The Goblin) by Tubin. At the same time Helikon-Opera will bring “The Tzar’s Bride” by Rymsky-Korsakov to Tallinn. Besides, simultaneously both in Moscow and Tallinn 2 gala-concerts will take place called “The Duet of Two Capitals”.
