Helikon will host "The Big Opera Project"
On the 7th and the 8th of September in the White-Columned hall of the princess of Shakhovskaya will host the 1st round auditions for the TV project called "The Big Opera". The Artistic and General Director of the theater Dmitry Bertman will take part in auditioning participants. The auditions will be broadcasted in the Internet by the organizer of the project, TV channel “ Culture”.
“The Big Opera" is an unprecedented and unique professional TV project for young opera singers. The main goal of the project is to disclose the new names of talented vocalists and to help them to become popular.
The first three seasons of " Big Opera" have caused huge spectators’ interest, having become one of the most successful projects of the TV channel. The project successfully combines elements of the show and the academic concert, it both entertains and imparts a taste to good music. Along with the Russian participants, singers from Germany, Austria, Mongolia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan took part in the project, showing the best achievements of the opera schools and traditions.
In different years the glorified masters of the opera scene were included in the Jury of "The Big Opera": the stars of the world opera such as Elena Obraztsova, Tamara Sinyavskaya, Maria Guleghina, Ildar Abdrazzakov, Paata Burchuladze, Sergey Leyferkus, the famous impresario Ian Holender within 20 years heading the Vienna State Opera, soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre Makvala Kasrashvili and Galina Kalinina, the head of the Youth opera program of the Bolshoi Theatre Dmitry Vdovin. Project participants were accompanied by the best symphonic orchestras of Russia: P. I. Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, "New Russia" State Symphony Orchestra with the conductors Vladimir Fedoseyev, Felix Korobov, Gintaras Rinkyavichyus, Fabio Mastrangelo, Peter Feranez.
