In 2009 Shota Chibirov has graduated from the vocal department of the Vladikavkaz College of Arts named after V.A. Gergiev (class of Nelly Khestanova). In 2015, he graduated from the The St.Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov (class of Anatoly Kiselev).

In 2015 he has joined the the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers at the Mariinsky Theatre (class of Hrayr Hanedanian), where he was improving his skills and also performing on the Mariinsky Theatre stage till 2018.

As art of the Mariinsky Theatre troupe he took part in the festival “White Nights 2018” and “Far Eastern Festival 2018”. With the troupe was on tour to China (Guangzhou, 2018).

Shota is the laureate of the international competitions:

  • “Jose Carreras Grand Prix” (Moscow, 2018, 1st prize and Audience Award)
  • VI International Competition of Vocalists named after B. T. Shtokolov (Saint-Petersburg, 2018, 1st Prize)
  • The George Ots International Music Festival-Competition (St. Petersburg, 2018, 3rd prize)
  • IV and V International Vocalist Competition named after Pavel Lisitsian (Vladikavkaz, 2016 - 3rd prize, 2017 - 1st prize)
  • XI International Competition for Young Opera Singers Elena Obraztsova (St. Petersburg, 2017, II prize and a special prize "For the best performance of Sergey Rachmaninoff).

In 2019 Shota has become the soloist of the Moscow musical theatre Helikon-opera, where he made his debut as Manrico (“Il Trovatore” by G. Verdi). On the Helikon-opera stage he has already impersonated more than 10 roles, among which there are Manrico (“Il Trovatore” by G. Verdi), Young Gypsy (“Aleko” by S. V. Rachmaninoff), Vaudemont (“Iolanta” by P. I. Tchaikovsky), Lensky (“Eugene Onegin” by P. I. Tchaikovsky), The Indian (“Sadko” by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov), Alfredo Germont (“La traviata” by G. Verdi), Alfred (“Die Fledermaus” by J. Strauss) etc.
