He has graduated from the vocal department of the AMU at the Moscow State Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky. Before entering to the Gnessins Academy he has served in the armed forces as a soloist of the military ensemble of the Strategic Missile Forces. Was improving his skills in the class of associate professor Bomshtein L.A. (the soloist of the Bolshoi theatre and the Paris Opera) at the Gnessins Academy.

Georgy Ekimov has participated in many master classes of the famous singers and conductors: P. Kudryavchenko, Lubov Kazarnovskaya, Eugene Nesterenko, Vladimir Chernov, Ramon de Andreas, Andrew Lawrence-King (in baroque music), Anna Skibinski and Richard Barrett.

He is the laureate of the international competitions. In the childhood, while learning to play the piano, organ and recorder flute, he has took first prizes at the international competitions for young pianists in Italy twice; as a vocalist in 2015-2016 he has won the Grand Prix in Moscow contest “The Nightingale Grove” (in 2017 he was invited to become the jury member), the 1st IGFSM Prize, and then the III Prize at the International Opera Singers Competition in Prague ("Vissi D'Arte", chaired by the famous Baritone Vladimir Chernov).

While being a first year student, Georgy Ekimov has impersonated the part of Simone (“Gianni Schicchi» by G. Puccini) and the title part in the W. A. Mozart's opera “Le nozze di Figaro” on the stage of the U. A. Speransky theatre-studio at the Gnessins Academy.

He is the soloist of the Moscow musical theatre Helikon-opera since 2017. On the theatre's stage he has impersonated more than 15 roles:

Ferrando (“Il trovatore” G. Verdi), Samuel (“Un ballo in maschera” G. Verdi), Scalozub (“The Chaadsky” A. Manotskov), Duda (“Sadko” N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov), Uberto (“La serva padrona” G. Pergolesi), Marchese (“La traviata” G. Verdi), Speaker of the temple (“Die Zauberflöte” W. А. Мozart), Bonze (“The Nightingale” I. F. Stravinsky), Frosh (“Die Fledermaus” J. Strauss), Fiorello (“Il Barbiere di Siviglia” G. Rossini), Orlik (“Mazepa” P. I. Tchaikovsky), Bertran (“Iolanta” P. I. Tchaikovsky), Nikitich, a police officer (“Boris Godunov” M. P. Mussorgsky) etc.

In February 2019 he has made his debut in the role of Basilio (“Il Barbiere di Siviglia” G. Rossini) at the LesArts Reigna Sofia theatre (Valencia, Spain). On the An der Wien theatre's stage (Vienna, Austria) has sung the part of Bertran (“Iolanta” P. I. Tchaikovsky) and Orlik (“Mazeppa” P. I. Tchaikovsky) in the concert performance.

Has performed in the concert programs in Montreal (Canada), in Valencia (Spain). Cooperated with the Academic Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments named after Nekrasov (conductor A. Shlyachkov) and with the Orchestra of folk instruments named after Osipov (conductor V. Kuzovlev) in the chamber music genre. Cooperated with such famous conductors as Cooperation with the conductors Felix Korobov, Óliver Díaz, Andrew Lawrence-King.
